Advanced sound bites
Listen to the monster say a word. Dog and Cat's boards show two possible spellings. Select the correct spelling and she will eat it. You can click/tap the monster to hear the word again.
Use the 'Alternative grapheme settings' button to choose which graphemes to focus on. There are vowel and consonant grapheme-phoneme-correspondences to choose from.
Teaching tips:
Use this advanced version of ‘Sound bites’ to support children to read and spell using alternative graphemes. Children could try putting the word into a verbal or written sentence.
Further support in this area can be found using ‘Fridge feast’ or ‘Advanced letter box’.
