Plural or singular?
Drag the words to the correct categories. When you are ready, use 'Mark' to see if you're right. If you need some help, use the 'Clues' button.
Discussion points
- What do you notice about the words which go in the ‘both’ column?
- Can you have a go at making the singular words plural and vice versa?
Teaching tips:
Following this activity, look at rules for pluralising words by trying the various ‘Plural forms’ activities. ‘Plural forms: -s and -es 1’ is a great activity to begin with for younger year groups, then work your way up to words ending in -y, -f or -fe and the rules for these. Use the ‘Activity settings’ button to change the words which are on display.
