Number gym
Count the number of exercises the yellow man does. You'll be asked to make the pink man do a number of exercises equal, more or fewer.
Tap the horn to start him off and stop him, or if you're on a desktop computer, you can use the space bar instead.
The buttons in the bottom left control how quickly the pink and yellow men exercise.
Settings control the number range and the difference between the yellow and pink sequences.
Teaching tips:
Encourage children to count the actions out loud as they go. For the more/fewer questions, children could use counters to work out the answer before making the pink man do the correct number of exercises.
Use with the Number Gym ‘Addition and subtraction’ worksheet.

Develop mathematical reasoning skills by using the following questions prompts: What is one/two more/fewer exercises than __? How do you know? Can you prove it to me using counters? How did you work it out?
